Hello everyone!
We are super excited for the start of the CSA! Thanks to all of you for joining us on this wild adventure of farming in a high altitude desert! I’m looking forward to seeing all of you next Thursday, June 8th for the first pick up. I’ve included logistical information below and if you have any questions at all, please give me a call or send me an email.It was a pretty cold spring with several hard freezes in the end of May. I was a bit worried about the plants but with a lot of row cover and good thoughts, they all survived! The cold has slowed everything more than I would like, but I think we will still have a good first week of veggies. The first month of so will be heavier on greens and other early season crops until the warmer season crops come in. That said, we will have beets, carrots and a few other root crops that I snuck in the greenhouse to give us some variety.I’ll try to include a few recipes every week, along with photos and and info on what’s going on at the farm. If you have a favorite recipe you’d like to share, let me know!If you are on a payment plan, please try to have your second (or third) installment ready for the first week.
